The coach of the Lithuanian national team, Raimondas Žutautas, in a brief comment after the defeat to Spain, acknowledged the strength of the opponents and added that the guests were let down by conceding goals at very bad times.
Although Darvydas Šernas equalized the score in the 53rd minute, the world champions celebrated a 3-1 victory thanks to two goals from Fernando Llorente and one from David Silva.
"In this match, the Spaniards played fantastically and scored three great goals," said Žutautas. "The worst part was that we conceded the first goal right after the break, and the second one just a few moments after the equalizer."
"However, let's not forget that we were playing against the world champions," added the specialist.
