R. Žutautas: "The first half was not bad, we managed to defend ourselves and the Spaniards missed their chances. At the beginning of the second half, we conceded a quick goal. It's good that we managed to equalize, but then we lost our focus.
However, at least for the first time in history, we scored a goal against the Spaniards. The men did their best - we simply played against the world champions. It's good that we didn't receive any yellow cards and will be at full strength for the next matches. In March, there will be different weather conditions and different matches."
V. del Bosque: "We had many opportunities that we didn't take advantage of, but overall I am satisfied with both the result and the team's performance. We achieved what we had planned. The Lithuanians played very well, not leaving us space to attack. Every team has its goals and tries to achieve them. The first half was tough for us. I could praise the Lithuanian goalkeeper and defenders. They played very well and made our goal difficult. I am glad we scored three goals, it's a good result. It was nice to play in Salamanca, the support of the fans gave us strength."
