About 4 thousand various fans of a German football club organized a peaceful action on Sunday to draw attention to the increasing ticket prices and commercialization of the most popular sport in the country. The action, held in the center of Berlin, was attended by supporters representing more than 50 teams from the top three divisions in terms of capacity. A large police force was gathered at the scene, but no incidents occurred. Germany still boasts the lowest average ticket prices, which reached 20.79 euros last season, while English fans pay around 43 euros and Spanish fans 40 euros. However, there is a noticeable trend of price increases, as well as dissatisfaction with the timing of the matches. Traditionally games started at half past four, but now evening matches are also being organized for television broadcasts.
