Munich goalkeeper Hannes Georg Buttas is afraid that the team, which has only earned 8 points in 7 matches in the German championship, could repeat the failure story of Leverkusen's "Bayer".
The 36-year-old veteran previously wore the shirt of the latter team and after a very successful 2002 season, when a high place was secured in the national championship and the Champions League final was reached, the next year "Bayer" barely avoided relegation to a lower league.
"We not only reached the final, but also had many players who went to play in the 2002 World Cup in the summer. The workload and success definitely played a role in the next season," said the goalkeeper, taking into account the 13 representatives of "Bayern" who participated in the planetary championship this summer.
