London team defender Branislav Ivanovic's agent Vlado Borozanas said that in the near future the footballer should extend his contract with the team.
The current 26-year-old Serbian contract with the London team is valid until the summer of 2011, so recently the defender's services have been of great interest to Turin's Juventus club. However, the player's agent denies such rumors.
"There is no basis to believe such rumors," said V. Borozanas. "The truth is that the current contract will expire in June of next year, but it should be extended in the near future."
Ivanovic arrived at Chelsea in January 2008 from Moscow's Lokomotiv.
