Safety Yaya Toure admitted that he would like to return to Barcelona one day.
The footballer mentioned it on the radio station "Catalunya Ràdio" show "El Club de la Mitjanit" (Midnight Club).
Yaya Toure, playing his first season in England, stated that his decision to leave "Barça" was one of the hardest he had to make in his life.
"I left because now the most important thing in my career is the number of minutes played. Roberto Mancini could offer me that, but in Catalonia I just couldn't accept the idea of being a substitute," explained the safety.
Yaya Toure confirmed that Sergio Busquets had a significant influence on his decision.
Last season, Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola included the youngster from the Catalan academy more frequently in the starting lineup, leaving Yaya Toure on the substitute's bench.
"If Sergio Busquets wasn't in the team, I probably would have stayed," said the Ivory Coast national team player.
However, Yaya Toure did not deny the possibility of returning to Barcelona one day.
"I will return to Barcelona someday. No, not as a tourist. I see myself only as a player," said the safety.
Manchester City's newcomer praised Javier Mascherano, who replaced him at Barça: "He is a very good player, but he must be patient. Adapting to Barcelona is not easy, and it takes a lot of time to properly understand the new team's style and system."
