The match in Southampton unfolded dramatically, where the local club managed to overturn a two-goal deficit in a matter of minutes against Middlesbrough. Meanwhile, the match between Crystal Palace and Blackburn ended goalless.
In other matches, Newcastle United drew 1-1 with Portsmouth, and the absolute underdog W.B.A. narrowly lost to Charlton. Tottenham won their sixth victory in the championship by defeating Man City 1-0 away.
