The decision-making process regarding the future question returns to the High Court of London on Thursday.
Although this court confirmed yesterday that the club's board members can continue negotiations with the "New England Sports Ventures" company, which offered 300 million pounds sterling, the current American owners, Tomas Hicks and George Gillett, obtained a temporary restraining order late yesterday through the Dallas court in the United States.
According to chairman Martin Broughton, such behavior from the owners is just an attempt to desperately stop a train that has long left.
"They are trying all possible means, but we have to believe," Broughton is quoted by SkySports. "I remain confident that everything will end well."
It is reported that an agreement with NESV has already been reached, so after the court clarification, "Liverpool" could immediately move under the ownership of the new owners.
However, the "Mill Financial" group, which already controls Gillett's shares and promises to build a new stadium, seems to have a real chance as well.
The court process should start at 4 p.m. Lithuanian time.
