Serbian police detained 19 football fans returning to their homeland who are suspected of actively participating in the riots in Italy on Tuesday.
The hooligan and aggressive behavior of Serbian fans forced the referee to interrupt the European Championship qualifying match between Italy and Serbia after just 6 minutes. They threw pyrotechnic devices onto the field, and both inside and outside the stadium clashed several times with the police and local fans.
Earlier, 17 Serbians were detained by Italian police officers.
Due to this incident, Italians will likely be awarded a 3-0 victory, and Serbia will face serious sanctions.
