On Wednesday, eight more matches of the 3rd round were played in the Champions League.
In a high-scoring match in Group A, last season's finalist Milan's "Inter" club secured a victory, defeating league debutant London's "Tottenham" 4-3.
After the first half, the outcome of the match was clear - the hosts led 4-0. In the 2nd minute, Javier Zanetti sent the ball into the net, and in the 8th minute, Samuel Eto'o converted a penalty kick. Furthermore, the English team was left with ten players, as goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes was sent off for a last hope foul.
By halftime, Dejan Stankovic and Eto'o's strikes guaranteed a crushing lead for Inter.
Although the London team was condemned, in the second half, "Tottenham" players remained competitive, and thanks to Gareth Bale, managed to score three goals.
