Strategist Sir Alex Ferguson does not want the issue of Wayne Rooney's future to turn into another media-fueled saga.
The 24-year-old forward has stated that he wants to leave the club as he doubts his ability to maintain a strong composition in the future.
"It is very important for us that this issue is resolved as quickly as possible and does not become a saga," - the Scot affirmed.
Ferguson also added: "The Sunday match against Stoke is the most important. And stop asking about it. We have just played a Champions League game."
