The club's leaders have approved the intention to strengthen the team's lineup in January when the transfer window opens.
In the summer, the Italian club was joined by footballers such as Milos Krasic, Alberto Aquilani, and Fabio Quagliarella, but according to general manager Beppe Marotta, they are still looking for reinforcements.
"We will definitely do something in the market in January," Marotta said. "And in June, we plan to invest big money. We are looking for suitable options and I believe we can do everything quietly.
"There are players who, for one reason or another, would like to leave their current clubs."
"Juventus," currently holding the fifth place in the Italian championship, seems to be looking for a striker.
When asked about Maxi Lopez, who represents "Catania" and is mentioned as a candidate, Marotta said: "Potential options may be unavailable or unsuitable in January, so we have to wait and see how everything will turn out."
