In an early duel, London's Tottenham and Liverpool's Everton shared a point in the capital - the match ended peacefully 1-1.
The guests took the lead when Leighton Baines sent the ball into the net with a great penalty kick in the 17th minute, but soon after, taking advantage of goalkeeper Tim Howard's mistake, Peter Crouch headed the ball to Rafael van der Vaart who only had to restore the balance from a few meters away.
After the break, Tottenham attacked, but the hosts failed to break through the dense visitors' defense.
