The team of PSV Eindhoven humiliated one of the most famous clubs in the country, Rotterdam's "Feyenoord," in the Dutch championship, achieving an incredible victory with a score of 10-0.
The winners were led by Brazilian Jonathan Reis, who scored three goals, followed by Jeremain Lens and Balazs Dzsudzsak with two goals each. Ibrahim Afellay, Ola Toivonen, and Orlando Engelaar also scored one goal each.
However, "Feyenoord" finished the match with a player down - Kelvin Leerdam was sent off the field in the 34th minute with the score at just 1-0.
This is the most painful defeat for the Rotterdam team since 1983 when they lost to Amsterdam's "Ajax" with a much more modest score of 2-8.
Interestingly, just a few days before this match, "Feyenoord" coach Mario Been expressed his desire to extend his contract with the club, stating: "I want to solve the problems of this team and I will succeed. I am completely sure of it."
After playing 10 rounds, PSV is in first place in the 18-team championship with 24 points, while "Feyenoord" (8 points) is in 15th place.
