One of the most prolific England national football team players of all time has not played since October 2, when he was substituted in the match against Sunderland.
The 30-year-old Owen recently returned to training after a groin injury and was supposed to appear in Tuesday's match against Wolverhampton, but was forced to watch from the sidelines.
