While the 26-year-old footballer negotiated the terms of the future contract for a few months, rumors spread that the leaders of the "Man City" team were actively interested.
"We agreed on all the details of the new contract. Just a few formalities left to arrange," Chiellini said.
The Italian national team player also briefly commented on the "Juventus" team's equal match against "Bologna".
"The progress of the team was clearly visible in the match. Throughout the game, we dominated their side of the field and didn't allow them to create any dangerous counterattacks. The only thing lacking was goals. Saturday's match against "Milan" will show where we currently stand," he said.
Asked whether "Juventus" will need to acquire new players in January, Chiellini replied: "Quagliarella cannot play in Europe, Amauri and Iaquinta are injured.
