Reserve team goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto will have to miss two Champions League matches.
This sanction was decided by UEFA, after investigating a controversial situation in the D group matches, where the Catalan club defeated "Kobenhavn" 2-0 at home.
It should be reminded that in this match Pinto replaced the suddenly ill Victor Valdes. In the 26th minute, the "Barcelona" goalkeeper allegedly imitated the referee's whistle sound. At that moment, the Danish team's attacker Cesar Santin stopped the attack, thinking that the referee had signaled an offside.
After this match, the guests officially expressed their dissatisfaction with the "unsporting behavior of the Barcelona goalkeeper" and filed a complaint to the UEFA commission, which started to investigate it.
Today it was revealed that Pinto is disqualified from two Champions League matches, "Barcelona" club announced that they are considering appealing this decision to the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body.
