After the victory against AC Milan football players, the defender from Brazil representing the Turin team did not shy away from vivid statements about the match, claiming it was like a performance of lions.
The goals by Fabio Quagliarella, Alessandro Del Piero, and Zlatan Ibrahimović created a real football thriller at the San Siro stadium, won by the visitors.
"Each of us tonight was like a lion. There were eleven lions on the field," Melo stated. "No one believed in Juventus' chances after the last season, but we showed that we can be a great team. It's a victory of strength and character."
Meanwhile, when asked about the chances of winning the Scudetto, the defender looked optimistically: "This is a new Juventus. We are on the right path and with hard work, we can achieve everything."
