"Birmingham team defender Stilian Petrov will be out of the game for approximately three months due to a knee injury.
The team's coach Gerard Houllier admitted that the Bulgarian player will not appear on the field at least until Christmas. Meanwhile, Petrov himself reassured that he would do everything possible to return to the field as soon as possible.
"I am disappointed, but I will try to recover as quickly as possible," said Petrov. "There's nothing you can do about it. No one is immune to injuries."
