Madrid security guard Ruben De La Red has officially announced that he is ending his football career due to health problems.
The 25-year-old Spaniard has not played in matches for several years, since losing consciousness during a game in 2008. Later on, doctors closely monitored his health condition and conducted various tests.
Nevertheless, they recommended ending his career, as the risk of returning and playing again is too high. De La Red has already revealed that he will stay with the "Real" team and work with one of the reserve teams.
