Philipp Lahm agreed to sign a new contract with the Munich club, which will be valid until the summer of 2016.
The current fullback's contract was valid until 2012.
Lahm has been with the Bayern team for 15 years, although he was loaned to the Stuttgart team for two seasons. Interestingly, he played in 78 of Bayern's last official matches and was substituted only once.
The footballer is also a member of the German national team.
