President Silvio Berlusconi would like Turin star Alessandro Del Piero to end his career at his club.
The Italian became the all-time leading scorer for Juventus by scoring a goal in a 2-1 victory in Sunday's Serie A match against Milan, but his expiring contract does not guarantee a secure future.
"I went to the locker room to congratulate everyone, especially Del Piero," Berlusconi said. "I know that his contract expires in the summer, so I offered him the opportunity to move to Milan."
However, the player's brother and agent Stefano stated that Del Piero will not rush to make a decision: "Alessandro never asked to meet with Juventus officials. He is not worried about the contract."
