The new club's head coach, Manuel Pellegrini, has been officially appointed.
Jesualdo Ferreira, who held this position since summer, was dismissed due to poor results, and his place will be taken by Pellegrini, who did not hold onto his position as a coach at Real Madrid.
The Chilean, who led the royal club for just one year, finished second in the national championships, but it was not enough - he was fired.
Pellegrini will sign a three-year contract with Malaga.
