Attacker Fernando Torres does not believe that he has already reached his best athletic form, despite two impressive goals in the match against London's Chelsea.
Precise strikes by the Spaniard led to a 2-0 victory, allowing the 'Reds' to climb to 9th place in the championship.
However, plagued by injuries, Torres did not succumb to euphoria: "It was difficult, but the situation is improving. I don't know if I will be able to demonstrate my best game soon, but I will try to do it as fast as possible."
He continued: "The end of last season was tough, and the World Cup as well. I was plagued by injuries, so it was difficult to train every day. But now, with each game, I feel better and better."
"Criticism is part of a footballer's life. When you represent a club like Liverpool, the whole world watches what you do directly. I understand the expectations and I am ready to fight."
