The star of Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo won a case against "Daily Telegraph" in London's High Court and will receive a compensation of unannounced size for defamation.

In July 2008, the publication reported that the Portuguese, who was then recovering from an injury and representing "Man Utd" club, left his crutches at home and risked his health by enjoying himself with four models in a nightclub.

According to C.Ronaldo's lawyer, this information, which did not correspond to reality, offended his client and put him in an uncomfortable position.

"Daily Telegraph" agreed to retract this information, apologize, cover all legal costs, and pay a substantial compensation.
