The epidemic of injuries in Milan continues - midfielder Wesley Sneijder has also dropped out of the lineup.
The Dutchman will miss the Wednesday match against "Lecce" in order to be ready for the crucial Sunday derby against "Milan".
Sneijder felt unwell during the weekend match against "Brescia", so he was allowed to rest.
"After what happened on Saturday, we have to wait for the test results, because only then we will know how long it will take to recover," said Benitez.
Midfielder Dejan Stanković will return to the "Inter" squad, but goalkeeper Julio Cesar, defenders Maicon, Walter Samuel, midfielders Esteban Cambiasso, Sulley Muntari, MacDonald Mariga, Thiago Motta, and forward David Suazo still cannot play.
"I didn't expect my career at Milan to start with so many problems," added Benitez. "We are in this situation and we have to wait until January, and then we will see - maybe we will be able to strengthen."
