The controversial footballer Joey Barton will face sanctions for a deliberate blow to "Blackburn" defender Morten Gamst Pedersen.
Until Friday evening, Barton can appeal to the FA and dispute the incident, otherwise he will be automatically disqualified for three matches.
In the weekend match between "Newcastle" and "Blackburn", Barton, unnoticed by the referee, hit Pedersen in the stomach. He fell down, but the referee did not take any action.
However, in such cases, FA officials, after reviewing the video footage, have the right to punish Barton.
