Milan's strategist Rafael Benitez hopes that a victory against Milan will allow his students to climb out of the pit.
Footballers' injuries and two consecutive draws against modest teams such as "Lecce" and "Brescia" did not provide the best emotions for 'Nerazzurri' fans.
"We know that we are a strong team and the Milan derby will allow us to prove it," said the Spaniard. "We must show that we believe we can win.
"These could be the matches that will turn our season in the right direction. We really want to win."
And he continued: "We need to forget the excellent results of the last few years, because this season is different. We need to forget about Jose Mourinho, Roberto Mancini, and those who won with Inter.
"We want to do something different - win by playing attractive football."
