Former Italian national team coach Roberto Donadoni takes over the club's helm.
The 47-year-old specialist has signed a two-season contract and will replace Pierpaolo Bisoli in this position, who was dismissed due to poor results.
In the Serie A championship, Cagliari's team has only managed to win two games in 12 matches and currently holds the 17th place.

In 2009, the specialist trained Napoli for seven months but was dismissed. He worked in the Italian national team from 2006 until the unsuccessful end of the 2008 European Championship.
