Legendary strategist Sir Alex Ferguson has stated that he has no intention of ending his career in the near future.
The 68-year-old Scot insists that he has not lost his hunger for victories, so he wants to continue working.
"I am not planning to retire yet," said Ferguson. "As long as my health allows, I would like to keep working. If it deteriorates, the situation would change."
He added: "Retiring is something younger people can do, as they have opportunities for other activities. If I were to resign, there would be only one way for me - downwards."
"Man Utd" executive director David Gill confirmed that there have not been discussions about Ferguson's departure for a long time. However, he added that the club would like to know what age criteria to follow when ranking the team and planning for the arrival of a new coach.
