Birmingham signed a contract with Robert Pires that is valid until the end of the season.

The 37-year-old veteran wore Villarreal's shirt last season but left the club.

Pires, who has worn the French national team shirt almost a hundred times, will not be a newcomer in England - he represented London's Arsenal team for six seasons.
