"Hamburg" club and Netherlands national team defender Joris Mathijsen will not be able to play for about eight weeks due to a shin injury. The 30-year-old center back got injured in a friendly national team match against Turkey and will only be able to return to the field after the new year. This is not the only issue for the coaching staff of the Hamburg team. Main players of the starting lineup such as goalkeeper Frank Rost, as well as the Dutch duo Eljero Elia and veteran Ruud van Nistelrooy, cannot play for various reasons."
