The club is planning a "clearout" - in January, when the transfer window opens, offers will be expected for six footballers. According to reports in the English press, they are looking to sell goalkeeper Shay Given, defender Wayne Bridge, midfielder Shaun Wright-Phillips, and forwards Jo, Roque Santa Cruz, and Emmanuel Adebayor. Former manager Mark Hughes has called all of these players, except Jo, to Manchester, spending £87.5 million. Now the prices will be significantly lower - Adebayor will be sold for £12 million (bought for £25 million), Santa Cruz for £4 million (from £18 million), Bridge for £5 million (from £12 million), Wright-Phillips for £5 million (from £8.5 million), and Jo for £4 million (from £17 million).
