It is reported that the club from Club wants to acquire the 26-year-old striker James Beattie, who scored 14 goals in the 2003/04 Premier League season. In exchange for this player, they offered two of their own players - Nigerian striker and English defender Titus Bramble.
If the deal goes through, Beattie, valued at £6 million, would join the Newcastle team in January. Meanwhile, Southampton's manager Harry Redknapp would lose his goal machine, but would replace him with another experienced striker and, with the arrival of Titus Bramble, strengthen his defense.
J.Beattie is also very interested in the club currently in third place in the league, which would like to replace their departed attacking leader Wayne Rooney with someone.
