The president of Genoa, Riccardo Garrone, announced that Antonio Cassano will never wear the team's jersey again.
After a conflict arose during which the footballer insulted Garrone in the dressing room, the club is seeking to terminate the contract and has already taken legal action. The basis for termination is insubordination.
"One thing is clear - Cassano will no longer represent the team," Garrone told RAI television. "In my life, I have never lacked consistency and keeping my word."
Becoming a free agent, the Italian would be a sought-after commodity in the market. According to the media, Turin's Juventus, Milan's Inter, Fiorentina, Palermo, London's Chelsea, and Manchester City are interested in him.
