After missing five matches due to injury, defender Joe Cole should return to the field in Sunday's match against London's Tottenham.
"We were hoping to have Cole back in the team last weekend, but the process took a bit longer," said 'Reds' manager Roy Hodgson.
"Joe should be able to play again soon, so we hope to see him back on Sunday."
The Englishman dropped out of the lineup for a month after sustaining an injury in a match against Bolton at the end of October.
