After hitting his opponent in the chest, AC Milan forward Samuel Eto'o has been disqualified for three matches.
In Sunday's match, the 29-year-old Cameroonian clashed with Chievo Verona goalkeeper Cesare, hitting him in the chest with his head while the referee was not looking. He went unpunished and later scored a goal, but Serie A officials applied sanctions after reviewing the footage.
This episode reminded many of the famous Zinedine Zidane's headbutt on Marco Materazzi in the 2006 World Cup final.
Eto'o, who has already scored 17 goals this season, will also have to pay a fine of 30,000 euros.
