The Amsterdam club has disqualified forward Luis Suarez for two matches, who in a Dutch championship match against Eindhoven's PSV kicked the opponent.
In the match that ended in a draw, a dispute broke out between players of both teams, during which the Uruguayan seemed to try to injure the opponent's safety Otman Bakkal. After this attack by Suarez, Bakkal showed the referee a red mark on his shoulder, but the culprit remained unpunished.
However, after the final whistle, the Uruguayan national team member hugged the opponent and had a friendly chat.
Despite this, the "Ajax" leaders decided to take sanctions themselves and suspended Suarez for two matches. However, the punishment will not take effect immediately - he will play in Tuesday's Champions League match in Amsterdam against Real Madrid.
The footballer will also have to pay an undisclosed fine and donate money to charity.
