The "Roma" club achieved a dramatic victory at home, coming back from two goals down to beat Bayern Munich 3-2.
The victory for the Italian team practically secured their place in the next stage. Bayern players can also be calm about their place among the strongest.
Mario Gomez gave the German club a solid lead before halftime, but in the second half Marco Borriello and Daniele De Rossi equalized, and veteran Francesco Totti secured victory by converting a penalty.
Bayern remained in first place in the group with 12 points, Roma has three fewer and is in second place.
The possibility of reaching the knockout stages became more complicated for London's "Arsenal" club, who unexpectedly lost 0-2 to Braga away.
Both goals for the winners were scored by Matheus - in the 83rd minute he sent the ball into the net after a long pass, and just before the final whistle he secured the win.
Earlier, Arsenal players seemed to rightly claim a penalty, but instead Carlos Vela was warned for simulation.
