London strategist Arsene Wenger claims that the five-referee system showed its helplessness in the Champions League match against "Braga".
With the result at 0-0, the English team's attacker Carlos Vela was brought down in the penalty area, but the referee did not award a penalty. On the contrary, Vela himself received a yellow card for simulation.
Wenger stated that this episode was a turning point, as "Arsenal" ultimately lost 0-2.
"We have another proof that this system is absolutely useless," the Frenchman insisted. "It is difficult to understand why a penalty was not awarded. It is obvious that five referees do not solve the problems."
