The club has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard from Denmark.
The 26-year-old footballer, arriving from the Norwegian team "Aalesund" for an undisclosed fee, has been training in Manchester since December, but will only be able to take to the field next year.
"Anders is one of the most promising young goalkeepers in football," said "Man Utd" manager Sir Alex Ferguson. "Our team always looks to the future. Lindegaard is already a great player with huge potential."
Recently wearing the national team's jersey, Lindegaard has represented his country four times.
