Real Madrid leader Cristiano Ronaldo dismisses discussions that Monday's "El Clasico" with Barcelona will be decided by a personal duel between him and Barcelona's star Lionel Messi.
The 25-year-old Portuguese and the slightly younger Argentine are currently considered the best footballers on the planet.
"Such talks are silly," said C. Ronaldo. "It's just a way to sell more newspapers. I don't think our duel will determine everything. It's 11 against 11 on the field, so we need to think about each player.
"Of course, those who score goals are dangerous, but we can't forget about the others."
When asked about his role in the Real Madrid team, the football player said: "I'm just another member of the team. Things are going well for both me and the club, but I don't feel any extra pressure.
"I have responsibilities that I need to fulfill. I always want more, that's just who I am. My teammates have the same goals and give their all, just like I do."
