"Juventus" coach: the match in Poland should have been interrupted (VIDEO) © EuroFootball.com

The strategist Gigi Del Neri insists that the Europa League match in Poland with Poznan's "Lech" had to be interrupted due to poor weather conditions.

During the match, it was snowing, so in the second half the footballers had to play on a snow-covered pitch where the lines were hardly visible.

The duel ended in a draw 1-1, leading to "Juventus" withdrawing from the tournament already after the group stage. The Italian club finished all five of its matches in a draw.

"We did everything we could," said the strategist. "We had at least five or six chances to score. We deserved to win.

"It was definitely not a normal match. I think it should have been interrupted because due to the weather conditions, the lines on the field were completely invisible.

Under different conditions, we probably would have won, but we tried and fought until the end.
