The World Cup in 2022 in Qatar could start in January or February, although it is traditionally held in June, according to reports.
Such a decision by FIFA would undoubtedly upset the leaders of major European clubs, as important matches in national championships and cup tournaments are held at that time.
However, according to reports, the possibility of this option is not ruled out, as the air temperature in Qatar often reaches 40-50 degrees in the summer months.
Qatar has promised to build 12 new stadiums with a powerful climate control system installed. This would allow the temperature to be reduced to 20-27 degrees both on the pitch and in the stands. But such weather naturally prevails in the country in January and February.
Nevertheless, there would still be issues related to training facilities, as well as unfamiliar weather for foreign fans and other guests.
