The Lithuanian youth team lost the match to their Israeli counterparts with a score of 1-0.

In the first half, the game was evenly matched until the 20th minute. At that time, E. Majus received a red card for a foul on the opponent, leaving the Lithuanians with ten players. A few minutes later, the Israelis took advantage of the numerical superiority and scored the only goal of the match.

In the second half, the Lithuanians had territorial advantage, but failed to capitalize on it. On the contrary, a penalty was even awarded against the Lithuanians, but the excellent performance of goalkeeper Ž. Karčemarskas prevented the score from doubling. At the end of the match, thick fog enveloped the stadium, making it difficult for the players to see each other.

The head coach of the team, V. Liubšys, allowed the newcomers to shine in this match. In his opinion, the players played well, but the result of the match was strongly influenced by E. Majus' expulsion from the field. This was also the belief of the team's top striker, V. Mižigurskis.

Today, at 7 o'clock Lithuanian time, the national under-21 teams of both countries will also test their strengths.
