"Barcelona" president takes responsibility for being late for the match in Pamplona © EuroFootball.com

The president of the club, Sandro Rosell, apologized for the chaos that arose before the Spanish championship match with "Osasuna". Leaders arrived in Pamplona for the match 45 minutes late, as they couldn't depart by plane due to air traffic controllers' strike. At that time, information appeared on "Barcelona's" website that the match was postponed to the next day, however, "Osasuna" confirmed that they had not received any official confirmation and demanded the match to be held as planned. Therefore, the "Barcelona" footballers who were not in a hurry had to urgently change their plans and travel to Pamplona by bus and train. "I personally take responsibility for what happened on Saturday," said Rosell. "I trusted the words of federation representatives and airport workers, but I always worked for the benefit of the club. "We will draw appropriate conclusions from all of this. I understand and agree that my actions may be criticized, but other people should not be unjustly attacked. It is unfair to blame the club's management or even the coach and players who allegedly did not want to travel to Pamplona by any other means than by plane."
