Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina achieved a new club record in Monday's English championship match against Aston Villa from Birmingham, becoming the fastest goalkeeper to play 100 matches without conceding a goal.
It was Reina's 198th game, while the previous record holder Ray Clemence needed 217 appearances.
"Reina is a wonderful player and a great person," praised Liverpool coach Roy Hodgson.
The player himself was not eager to express himself: "I thank my teammates, because without them I would not have achieved this."
