London strategist Arsene Wenger insists that he is not bothered by the possibility of facing the excellent form-demonstrating Barcelona in the first round of the Champions League knockout stage.

The 'Gunners', who finished second in their group, could also face Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Schalke in the pairings.

"Barcelona is the clear favorite at the moment, but we will play whoever we get," said Wenger. "If it's Barca, we'll go to Catalonia. Let's wait and see."

The teams faced each other last year - then the Spaniards celebrated a victory in the quarterfinals with a 6-3 aggregate score.

"Last year we could have done better - we drew 2-2 at home and led 1-0 away, but lost 1-4," Wenger added. "Victory depends on whether all players can perform, or whether there is confidence in their abilities.

"It's very difficult to predict how far we can go. Since these are knockout matches, you have to show everything you've got in those 180 minutes and hope for success."
