Munich's midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has denied rumors about a possible move to another club by extending his contract with the German champions until 2016.
After the victory against St. Pauli on Saturday, the footballer took the microphone and announced to the fans gathered in the stadium: "I have extended my contract and will stay here until 2016. Long live Bayern!"
"We have a great team, and my heart is red. I want to win the Champions League with Bayern, not with Real Madrid," Schweinsteiger added later to journalists.
It was reported that the 26-year-old player was tempted by Inter Milan, Man Utd, Chelsea, and Real Madrid.
Earlier, other key players of the team signed long-term contracts: defender Philipp Lahm, Holger Badstuber, midfielder Franck Ribery, and forward Thomas Muller.
