FIFA President Sepp Blatter does not lack a sense of humor - when asked whether homosexual fans would be warmly welcomed at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the Swiss replied that at that time they should avoid "sexual activity."
Organizations uniting homosexual individuals expressed concern that there would be problems for minority representatives at the championship, as in Qatar, relationships between individuals of the same sex are prohibited by law. They also condemned the decision to hold a football celebration in such a minority-oppressing country.
When asked about this, Blatter said, "I think that homosexual individuals should refrain from sexual activity during the World Cup."
And later, slightly more serious, he added: "I am sure that the World Cup in Qatar will pass without any problems."
